Help AB and CD are straight lines find z
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer: z=16

Step-by-step explanation:

Angles on a straight line add up to 180.

As AB is a straight line we can use that to help us find z.

So you would do 68+85+11=164 (I got the 11 from the angle trapped between like C and F as opposite angles are the same).

Then you would do 180-164=16

So z=16

Hope this helps :)

(WILL GIVE BRINALIST TO BEST ANWER) WHATS the measure of < 3
malfutka [58]

Answer:

∠3 = 60°

Step-by-step explanation:

Since g and h are parallel lines then

∠1 and ∠2 are same side interior angles and are supplementary, hence

4x + 36 +3x - 3 = 180

7x + 33 = 180 ( subtract 33 from both sides )

7x = 147 ( divide both sides by 7 )

x = 21

Thus ∠2 = (3 × 21) - 3 = 63 - 3 = 60°

∠ 2 and ∠3 are alternate angles and congruent, hence

∠3 = 60°

At one store, Julia saved $10 with a coupon for 40% off her total purchase. At another store, the $29 she spent on books is
barxatty [35]
Let "a" and "b" represent the values of the first and second purchases, respectively.
  0.40*(original price of "a") = $10
  (original price of "a") = $10/0.40 = $25.00 . . . . divide by 0.40 and evaluate
  a = (original price of "a") - $10 . . . . . . Julia paid the price after the discount
  a = $25.00 -10.00 = $15.00

At the other store,
  $29 = 0.58b
  $29/0.58 = b = $50 . . . . . . . divide by the coefficient of b and evaluate

Then Julia's total spending is
  a + b = $15.00 +50.00 = $65.00

Julia spent $65 in all at the two stores.
