The triangles are similar be the following conclusions

<h3>What is similarity?</h3>

Two objects are similar if they have the same shape, or one has the same shape as the mirror image of the other

The ratio of the smaller triangle to bigger is

3/6=1/2

2/4= 1/2

3/6 = 1/2

Hence, all the ratio of the corresponding side of both the triangle is same, the by SSS similarity criteria triangles are similar.

slope=  rise/run

       = 3/2

Also, slope= rise/ run

                  = 6/4= 3/2

As, from both triangles we get the same slope because both are similar.

What is the slope of the line with equation y=12x
fomenos
<span>When you have an equation of the form y = mx + b (which you do in this case), the slope is always equal to the coefficient of x, which is m or 12 in this case. Since there is no "b" in your equation, you could say that b=0, and the line is known to cross the y axis at zero.

In case you are interested, if the equation said y = 12 x + 3 the slope of the line would still be 12 but the line would cross the y axis at 3. If the equation said y = 12x -4, the line would have a slope of 12 and would cross the y axis at -4.</span>

Write a linear function f with the values f(0)=-1 and f(2)=-5
Darya [45]

Answer:

f(x) = - 2x - 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the linear function f(x) is given by f(x) = ax + b where a and b are unknown constants.

Given that f(0) = -1 and f(2) = -5

Hence, a(0) + b = - 1, ⇒ b = - 1

Again from the condition given

a(2) + b = -5, ⇒ 2a - 1 = - 5, ⇒ 2a = - 4, ⇒ a = - 2.

Therefore, the linear function is f(x) = - 2x - 1 (Answer)
