The purpose of a controlled experiment is to allow a scientist to isolate and test?

Biology

A single variable.

In an experiment we are trying to figure out how one thing (independent) effects another thing (dependent) so we want to keep everything constant. We want that experiment to be controlled so nothing else is effecting our dependent variable. That way we can be 100% sure that any change to our dependent is due to our independent variable. Hope that makes sense

Answer:

A) repressors

Explanation:

A transcription factor is a protein that controls the rate of transcription of genetic information from DNA to messenger RNA, by binding to specific DNA sequence. The function of TFs is to regulate-turn on and off genes-In order to make sure that they are expressed in the right cell, at the right time and in the right amount throughout the life of the cell and the organism.
