I disagree with the statement made by Charina because when waves interact with an object, they will reflect off each other and when waves interact with other waves, they will interfere. Thus, her understanding was wrong.

Waves may be defined as a way of causing nuisance traversing through a medium by which energy is transmitted from one particle of the medium to another without rendering any permanent displacement of the medium itself.

Waves possess the properties of both interference and reflection. When waves interact with each other, they interfere and this interference can be classified as constructive or destructive.
