If the perimeter of this triangle is 15 centimeters, what is the value of n?

Mathematics

The value of n from the triangle = 2.5

<h3>Calculation of perimeter of triangle</h3>

Perimeter of a triangle= a +b+c

Where,

a= n

b= 5n - 6

C= 2n + 1

P= 15

Therefore n

15 = n + 2n + 1 + 5n - 6

15 = 8n-5

8n= 15+5

8n = 20

n= 20/8

n= 2.5

Therefore, the value of n = 2.5

Someone can help me with 31 &amp; 33? i need help
nika2105 [10]

31. It gives you the equation f(x) = -2x + 4 and asks you to solve for f(12). To solve this you must replace x in the equation -2x + 4 with 12 like so:

-2(12) + 4

Remember that when solving this use your rules of PEMDAS. In this case you will first multiply -2 and 12 then add the product with 4

-24 + 4

f(12) = -20

33. Replace x in the equation x³ - x with 5 like so...

5³ - 5

Again, remember to use the rules of PEMDAS to solve this. First take the cube of 5 then subtract 5 from the answer

125 - 5

g(5) = 120

Hope this helped!

The diagram represents a reduction of a triangle by using a scale factor of 0.8.
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

4.8 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>See comment for complete question</em>

Represent the larger triangle with 1 and the smaller with 2.

So, we have:

H_1 =6\ in -- height of 1

Required

Determine H2 --- Height of 2

To do this we apply dilation formula.

Original * Scale\ Factor = New

In this case:

H_1 * Scale\ Factor = H_2

Substitute 6 for H1 and 0.8 for Scale Factor

6* 0.8 = H_2

4.8= H_2

Hence, the height of the smaller triangle is 4.8 inches

Arlecino [84]

Answer: mean = 10.3 and median = 9.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data :

22, 14, 8, 1, 9, 0, 31, 2, 13, 3, 11, 10

Mean = \dfrac{\text{Sum of all data values}}{\text{No. of data values}}

=\dfrac{22+14+8+1+9+0+31+2+13+3+11+10}{12}

=\dfrac{124}{12}=10.3

Median = Middle most value.

For Median , we first arrange the data values in an order.

0 , 1 , 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 , 11, 13 , 14,  22, 31

Since , number of data values is 12 ( even) , so the median would be the mean of the two middlemost value.

i.e . Median= \dfrac{9+10}{2}=9.5

Hence, the  mean and median of this distribution (in years) are :

mean = 10.3 and median = 9.5
