What level of setting in a story takes place inside the character's mind?
Rina8888 [55]

A psychological setting in a story takes place inside the character's mind.

A setting is the background sequence of a story which runs simultaneously with the course of the story. The nature of the actions and the characters are much influenced by the setting of the plot. Settings are not just the external environment of the story. They can also be internal in nature which is termed the psychological setting. This setting works in the mind of a character. It is the reflection of the thoughts and perspectives of a particular character. At times, the external setting and the internal or psychological settings move parallel to each other.

On the other hand, foreshadowing is an advance hint provided by a writer. Usually, it appears at the beginning of the story. Literal highlights the basic meaning which clearly defines the meaning of the setting and supernatural setting involves the presence of elements which do not pass the laws of nature. It includes Gods, demons, souls, spirits, etc.
