Answer:

Given:  L is the midpoint of \overline{JM}  (given)

\overline{JL} =\overline{LM}  (definition of a midpoint)

Given:  \overline{JK} \parallel \overline{NM}  (given)

\angle KJL \cong \angle NML (alternate interior angles theorem)

\angle JKL \cong \angle MNL (alternate interior angles theorem)

\triangle JKL \cong \triangle MNL  (SAA postulate)

You have quarters and dimes that total $2.80. your friend says it is possible that the number of quarters is 8 more than the num
ss7ja [257]
To answer this question, you need to know that a quarter is worth $0.25 and dimes worth $0.10. In this case, the total number of money that made from quarters and dimes is $2.80
With Q=quarter and D=dime, then the equation should be:
2.80= 0.25 Q + 0.10 D

The condition that needs to be fulfilled in this case is that the quarter should be 8 more than dimes. Then you need to find out the highest possible number of the quarter and lowest possible number of the dimes.
If you divide 2.8 with 0.25 you will found it will be 11.2 but 11 quarter will result with 0.05 value which you cannot remove, so the highest possible of the quarter should be 10.
If the highest possible of the quarter is 10, then the lowest possible of dimes should be:
2.8= 0.25(10) + 0.10D
0.10D= 0.3
D=3

Since 10-3 is 7, then it is not possible for the quarter to be 8 more than the dimes.

Noah loves the Half-Tens facts and often uses them to solve multiplication problems. Make up a 2-digit by 3-digit multiplication
Stells [14]

Half Tens is a way of multiplying where we have to find the value of given numbers. First we double any 'one' of the two given numbers and multiply both to get an answer. Then we divide that answer by '2' to get the answer.

Lets take two numbers as 16 and 340

16\times340=?

Double the number 16

32\times340=10880

Now we will divide this by 2

\frac{10880}{2}= 5440

So, if we check 16\times340=? , it is 5440.

Similarly if we double the number 340, we get 680

Now, 16\times680=10880

And 10880/2 = 5440

Hence, in both ways the answer is 5440.

3/4 ÷ 5 1/2 please explain the steps
Mademuasel [1]
The easiest way to do it is to make the numbers into decimals.  All you need to do is divide them.

To convert 3/4 into a decimal just divide 3 by 4.

3 / 4 = .75

To get 5  1/2 into a decimal just ignore the 5 for now and divide the 1 by 2.

1 / 2 = .5

Now add the 5 back on and you have 5.5

So far you have converted the equation from (3/4) / 5 1/2 to .75 / 5.5

Now just divide .75 by 5.5

.75 / 5.5 = 1.136 with the 36 repeated
