Using the Internet, write a 600-word report on the kind of new car you would buy. Although you can use your imagination and purc

hase any new model of vehicle you wish, you must give the following information in your paper:
The purchase price you would pay for the car from a local dealership in your area. The price is to be the price of the car without any upgrades. It should be the price of a car completely stripped down to the basics. What would it cost?
The price of the car from the same dealership with upgrades such as nicer wheels, leather interior, navigation, etc. or any other extras you wish to add.
The price you would pay for bumper-to-bumper coverage. What does bumper-to-bumper coverage mean? Is it better or worse than a power-train warranty, and why or why not?
If you were going to pay this car off in 36 months, what would be your monthly payments?
You will also need insurance for your vehicle. Keep in mind that insurance costs vary depending on your age, driving record, credit history, and the vehicle you wish to insure. For this reason, you may not be able to find an accurate insurance estimate online. For the purposes of this project, assume that your monthly insurance costs will be equal to 3/4 of your car payment.

Answer:

When it’s time to sign the final paperwork for your new car, it’s a good bet that the lines are blurring together and you just want to go home. One last look could save you money. Some dealer fees are required, but many aren’t. Stripping away unwanted add-ons could save hundreds, even thousands, off your costs. We’ll help you differentiate what’s necessary and what isn’t, and what to expect in your state.

Explanation:

Note: This question is not complete and the data in its are merged together. See the attached pdf file for thee complete question with the sorted data.

The explanations of the answers are provided as follows:

1. Prepare a single-step income statement for 2013, including EPS disclosures. (Round EPS answers to 2 decimal places.)

Note: See part 1 of the attached excel file for the single-step income statement.

A single-step income statement refers to an income statement that reports the revenue, expenses and the profit or loss of a company by using only one equation to determine profits.

The equation of the single-step income statement can be written as follows:

Net Income = (Revenues + Gains) - (Expenses + Losses)

In the part 1 of the excel file, we have:

Net income = $441,000

Earnings per share (EPS) = Net income / Number of common shares outstanding = $441,000 / 300,000 = $1.47 per share

2. Prepare a multiple-step income statement for 2013, including EPS disclosures. (Round EPS answers to 2 decimal places.)

Note: See part 2 of the attached excel file for the multiple-step income statement.

A multi-step income statement refers to an income statement that reports the revenue, expenses and the profit or loss of a company by using multiple equations to determine profits.

These equations are given as follows:

Gross Profit = Net Sales – Cost of Goods Sold

Operating Income = Gross Profit - Operating Expense

Net Income = Operating Income + Other income (loss)

In the part 2 of the excel file, we have:

Net income = $441,000

Earnings per share (EPS) = Net income / Number of common shares outstanding = $441,000 / 300,000 = $1.47 per share

Elis [28]

Answer:

$161 million

Explanation:

Given that,

Opening Retained earnings balance = $547 million

Ending retained earnings balance = $594 million

Dividends paid to preferred stockholders = $37 million

Dividends paid to common stockholders = $77 million

Net Income:

= Change in Retained earnings + Preferred Stock Dividend + Common Stock Dividend

= ($594 million - $547 million) + $37 million + $77 million

= $47 million + $37 million + $77 million

= $161 million
