A gas piston is a system that is used in the generators to produce energy. With the change in the volume of the piston at the constant pressure, the energy in joules is, 266.49 J.

What is energy?

The energy of the system is given by the negative product of the pressure and the change in the volume.

Given,

Pressure = 2.12 atm

Initial volume = 0.260 L

Final volume = 1.50 L

Energy = -PΔV

= - (2.12) (1.24)

= - 2.63 L. atm

Converting the units:

1 L atm = 101.325 J

-2.63 L atm = 266.49 J

Therefore, 266.49 J is the energy.

Describe the genetic mutations that you think occurred in the cancer cells that were responsible for the phenotypic differences
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

Cancer cells are characterized by mutations associated with the uncontrolled growth of these tumor cells

Explanation:

Mutations in tumor suppressor genes are often associated with different types of cancers. On the other hand, mutations derived from the insertion of Transposable Elements may also activate cancer-related genes which are known as oncogenes

What is the relationship between substance abuse and the spread of STIs?
Delicious77 [7]
Substance abuse can spread STIs because when a user shares needles with an infected person, it can spread through the blood. Any high-risk behavior like this spreads STIs.

If there were more weeds what would happen to the rabbits?
EleoNora [17]
Rabbits tend to wander a lot and if it runs into weed or grass... well it eats it. eating weed or grass allows rabbits to gain more energy. if the supplies of grass and or weed increases the population of rabbits would increase too. the more they eat the more energy the have and the more energy the have the more they reproduce.
more power = more reproduction
more reproduction = increase in population
so all in all the more weed, the better it is for rabbits since the amount of food increases

If bicoid mRNA is injected at the anterior end of an egg from a bicoid mutant mother, what would the phenotype of the resulting
JulijaS [17]

If the larva had one head at the posterior pole, it would be normal. The larva would have two heads, one at the front of its body and the other in the center.

What is bicoid mRNA?

When translated, bicoid protein forms a morphogen gradient that shapes the embryo's head and thorax if bicoid mRNA localizes to the anterior of the Drosophila egg.

How does the egg's bicoid RNA influence development?

According to recent research, Bicoid specifies the anterior of the Drosophila embryo in two different ways. It initially suppresses posterior development. It accomplishes this by attaching to and preventing caudal RNA, which is distributed throughout the egg and early embryo, from being translated.
