Answer:

C   34  cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area = L x W

  72  = 8 x W     then W = 9

Perimeter = 2 ( L+W) = 2 ( 8+ 9) = 34  cm

The trapezoid's area is 126 inch².

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

The trapezoid's area is calculated by averaging the base lengths and multiplying it with the trapezoid's height.

The trapezoid's area, A = \frac{b_{1}+b_{2}}{2} h.

Here b_{1} is the lower base and b_{2} is the upper base, height is h.

Step 2:

In the given diagram,

b_{1} = 12 inches and b_{2}= 2+12+2=16 inches and h = 9 inches.

A = \frac{b_{1}+b_{2}}{2} h = \frac{12+16}{2} (9) = 14(9)= 126 inch².

So the given trapezoid's area is 126 inch².

Anyone know this geometry question?
Black_prince [1.1K]
I'd start by recognizing that the smaller triangle, at the top, is similar to the larger (whole) triangle.

Then:

 a              b
------- = ---------
15+a     20+b

Then 20a + ab = 15b + ab.  Subtract ab from both sides.  We then get 20a = 15b.  Note also that

 40         b
----- = ----------
 60       b+20

so that 40b + 800 = 60b, or 800 = 20b, or b = 40.

If b = 40, then we can find a from the relationship 20a = 15b found earlier.  With b=40, 20a = 15(40) = 600, so a = 30

a = 30
b= 40

If you buy a car for 15500 an average on an average a new car loses 11% of its value the moment that is driven off the lot once
AfilCa [17]

Answer:

$13,795

Step-by-step explanation:

15500/x=100/11

(15500/x)*x=(100/11)*x       - we multiply both sides of the equation by x

15500=9.0909090909091*x       - we divide both sides of the equation by (9.0909090909091) to get x

15500/9.0909090909091=x

1705=x

x=1705

now we have:

11% of 15500=1705
