The fraction of shipments that will be accepted is 0.1299.

How to calculate the probability?

Probability of a defective DVD = 0.04

Using Binomial distribution,

Fraction of shipments accepted = Probability of zero defects in sample of 50 = P(X = 0)

= 50C0 * 0.040 * (1 - 0.04)⁵⁰

= 0.96⁵⁰

= 0.1299

Fraction of shipments accepted = Probability of zero or one defects in sample of 50 = P(X = 0) + P(X = 1)

= 50C0 * 0.040 * (1 - 0.04)50-0 + 50C1 * 0.041 * (1 - 0.04)50-1

= 0.9650 + 50 * 0.04 * 0.9649

= 0.4005

grandymaker [24]

Answer:

Multiprogramming will be extremely difficult to be achieved.

Explanation:

If every byte of data read or written is handled by the CPU the implications this will have for multiprogramming are not going to be satisfactory.

This is because, unlike before, after the successful completion of the input and output process, the CPU of a computer is not entirely free to work on other instructions or processes.

The components of the enveloped virus budding process are:

 • lipid bilayers
 • fission event
 • Glycosylated (trans-) membrane proteins.

What is the case of the virus about?

Virus budding in general is known to be a term that connote the scattering or disturbance of a cellular membrane and it is one away from the cytoplasm.

Note that it is said to be the envelopment of the viral capsid and this is done by one or more lipid bilayers that can be seen in the viral membrane glycoproteins, and it is one where a fission event takes place.

Hence The components of the enveloped virus budding process are:

 • lipid bilayers
 • fission event
 • Glycosylated (trans-) membrane proteins.
