UNO [17]

Six similarities:

- Love through years (the passing time)

- Love will live on them, no matter what happens with their lives

- 'Live' in the way that love will survive

- 'Death' love will last until they die

- Uses 'time' as imagery and as figurative language

- Use of metaphor:

In the letter, lines 11 and 12 meaning to have sex

In 55 Sonnet, But you shall shine bright... (Shakespeare compares memory to a brightly shining light)

Six differences:

- In the letter, the use of allusion (Chôkan is a village in Japan)

- In 55 Sonnet, the use of rhyme and alliteration

- The Sonnet starts with a negative adverb 'not'.

- The letter has more lines than the Sonnet.

- The Sonnet scheme is made of 3 quatrains and ends with a couplet. Its rhyme scheme is ababcdcdefefgg

- The letter has a tittle

- The letter is in the first person (the wife)

Extracurricular activities are usually used to refers to activities outside one's regular domain which may improve an individual's soft and management skills. Sporting activities that may include jogging, push-ups, footballing, gymnastic, ballet, swimming, long and high jumps and so many other sports events available may help build and nurture certain extracurricular skills such as competitiveness, teamwork, ethics, communication, dedication, interpersonal relationship, dedication and even time management. Indulging in sporting activities helps in the metabolic process and fat disintegration thereby improving the overall function of the body system while extracurricular activities help improve an individual's cognitive capability. Question 1
goblinko [34]

The poem is the following:

The Golden Cat

Great is the Golden Cat who treads

The Blue Roof Garden o’er our heads,

The never tired smiling One

That Human People call the Sun.

He stretches forth his paw at dawn

And though the blinds are closely drawn

His claws peep through like Rays of Light,

To catch the fluttering Bird of Night.

He smiles into the Hayloft dim

And the brown Hay smiles back at him,

And when he strokes the Earth’s green fur

He makes the Fields and Meadows purr.

His face is one big Golden smile,

It measures round, at least a mile—

How dull our World would be, and flat,

Without the Golden Pu Cat.

Answers:

1. The world would be boring without the company of cats.

2. "How dull our World would be, and flat, / Without the Golden Cat."

Explanation:

The poem is all about highlighting and appreciating the simple little things a cat does, as well as the cat itself. Adjectives used to describe the cat such as "great" and "golden" and some of the analogies made such as comparing its claws to “Rays of Light” support the central idea that the world would be boring without the company of cats, and the evidence that best supports that idea are the following lines: "How dull our World would be, and flat, / Without the Golden Cat."
