The discount percent is 20% off because you would subtract the discount from the original price and get 45. 45 is 20% of 225.

To find the answer, you have to make a proportion.
Percent of discount = discount / regular price
d = 45 / 225
d =0.2
So to covert 0.2 to a percent, move the decimal point 2 places to the right.
= 20%
( By the way, 45 is $225 - $180)
To check it, I'm gonna multiply $225 * 0.20 = 45
And then subtract 225 - 45 = 180
So the discount percent is 20%

Trava [24]

Answer:

a=22,\\b=31,\\c=13

Step-by-step explanation:

When choosing equations to write, make sure you choose a pair that allow you to isolate a variable and solve for it.

Sample solution:

a+25+28=16+25+34,\\\\a+28=16+34,\\a+28=50,\\a=\boxed{22}

16+b+28=16+25+34,\\b+44=75,\\b=\boxed{31}

34+c+28=16+25+34,\\c+28=41,\\c=\boxed{13}

after elsa backed muffins, her brother ate 4 of them, he ate 2/5 of all the muffins, how many muffins did elsa bake?
kondor19780726 [428]
If he ate 4 of them, but it means he ate 2/5 muffins,
4 muffins = 2/5 muffins
You substitute x muffins for how much muffins she baked in all -
2/5* x muffins = 4
2/5 multiply by 2/5 to cross it out. Do the same to the other side.
x= 4 *5/2
x = 10 muffins
So there were 10 muffins in all

The salary at Beth’s company is $32,000 for someone with no experience and increases by $2700 per year of experience. Write a ru
AlekseyPX

Answer:

In general, the salary S in terms of years of experience Y is S = 2700Y + 3200

Step-by-step explanation:

we start at 32000 without experience.

as the experience goes up, the wage increases 2700 per year so we can multiply 2700 by the years of experience to find the increase of salary. To find the salary of a certain employee with a certain amount of experience, plug the years of experience in for Y and solve.

for Y=0

S= 2700(0) + 3200 = 0 + 3200 = 0

for Y=2

S= 2700(2) + 3200 = 5400 + 3200 = 8600

for Y=5

S= 2700(5) + 3200 = 13500 + 3200 = 16700

for Y=7

S=2700(7) + 3200 = 2700(5) + 2700(2) + 3200 = 5400 + 13500 + 3200 = 22100
