Geometry Special Quadrilaterals show work please
Charra [1.4K]

Answer:

a = 16

w = 125

x = 120

y = 55

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>FINDING 'a'</u>

31 = a + 46 / 2

62 = a + 46

16 = a

<u>FINDING 'w'</u>

* This section looks Non-Isosceles trapezoid so I will be following the rule according it

w + 55 = 180

w = 125

<u>FINDING 'y'</u>

y = 55

- Because of corresponding angles

<u>FINDING 'x'</u>

* In this case it looks like we are still dealing w/ an non-isosceles trapezoid.

x + 60 = 180

x = 120

Hope this helped ^^

Suppose the wait to pass through immigration at JFK Airport in New York is thought to be bell-shaped and symmetrical with a mean
LiRa [457]

Answer:

6 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

68% of people will lie between one standard deviation from the mean. If the mean is 22, and 1 standard deviation away is 16 or 28, the standard deviation must be six (28-22=6)

What is the value of 3 3/1 divided by 1 17/8 in simplest form
kaheart [24]

Answer:

2 22/25

Step-by-step explanation:

3\frac{3}{1} / 1\frac{17}{8}   Simplify 3 3/1. 3/1 = 3.

=3*3 / 1\frac{17}{8}   Multiply 3*3=9

=9 / 1\frac{17}{8}   Convert 1 17/8 to improper fraction.

=9 / \frac{(1*8)+17}{8}   Multiply the whole number by the base, Add to numerator.

=9 / \frac{25}{8}   Writing "9" as 9/1, fraction form, is easier to see.

=\frac{9}{1} / \frac{25}{8}   Flip the fraction on the right. It becomes multiplication.

=\frac{9}{1} X \frac{8}{25}   Multiply both numerators them both denominators.

=\frac{9*8}{1*25}   Multiply. I combined the fractions for you to see.

=\frac{72}{25}   Answer as an improper fraction

=2\frac{22}{25}   Answer as a mixed number.

How to convert improper fraction to mixed number:

72/25 = 2 22/25

72 can divide by 25 only 2 times, and with a remainder 22.

The number of times 72 can divide by becomes the whole number. The remainder becomes the numerator in the fraction. Keep the same denominator.
