A vehicle starts from rest and accelerates uniformly for 12 seconds to a

The value of the acceleration is 0.76 m/s² and the total time taken by the vehicle is 39 seconds.

Acceleration of the vehicle

The acceleration of the vehicle before coming to rest is calculated as follows;

v² = u² + 2as

where;

  • v is the final velocity
  • u is the initial velocity
  • a is the acceleration
  • s is the distance traveled before stopping

the car came to rest with constant velocity attained after 12 seconds.

the initial velocity of the car before 12 seconds is zero.

v² = 0 + 2as

a = v²/2s

a = (10²)/(2 x 66)

a = 0.76 m/s²

Time of motion of the vehicle

d = ut + ¹/₂at²

where;

  • d is the total distance traveled
  • t is the time of motion
  • a is acceleration
  • u is initial velocity of the vehicle

580 = 0 + ¹/₂(0.76)t²

580 = 0.38t²

t² = 580/0.38

t² = 1,526.3

t = √1,526.3

t = 39 seconds

Thus, the value of the acceleration is 0.76 m/s² and the total time taken by the vehicle is 39 seconds.

This reaction appears to be destroying the logs. when it is over only ash will remain, the law of conservation of mass tells us
Advocard [28]
The law of conservation tells us that no mass is lost. This is true because when wood burns or turns into ash, some of it is escaped as gases like carbon dioxide and water vapor into air . If we calculate the mass of these atmospheric gases that evolved when the wood turned into ash, we would find that the total mass of all these substances including the ash is equal to the log of wood.

a 2.6 kg block is attached to a horizontal spring that has a spring constant of 126 N/m. At the instant when the displacement of
NeTakaya

Answer:

The acceleration of the object is 5.57\ m/s^2.

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of the block, m = 2.6 kg

Spring constant of the spring, k = 126 N/m

At the instant when the displacement of the spring from its unstained length is 0.115 m. We need to find the acceleration of the object.

When the block is displaced, the force acting on the spring is equal to the force due to its motion. Such as :

kx=ma

a is acceleration of the object

a=\dfrac{kx}{m}\\\\a=\dfrac{126\times 0.115}{2.6}\\\\a=5.57\ m/s^2

So, the acceleration of the object is 5.57\ m/s^2.

How would doubling the height of an object change the object's potential energy?
Kruka [31]

C. The potential energy would double.

Explanation:

The potential energy of an object is the energy at rest. it is the product of its mass, gravity and height.

   Potential energy = mgh

where m is the mass

           g is the acceleration due to gravity

            h is the height

From the above, potential energy is proportional to the height. If any change in any of the parameters will directly affect the potential energy. This implies that if height is double, the potential energy is doubled.
