Answer to (a) = 3cm
Answer to (b) = height is 12cm, area of base is 16 cm2

Formula for question a
Height = (3)V/a^2
We know v=16, we know a is 4
Height = (3) 16/16
Height = (3)

Formula for question b
If it’s similar, we will first find the ratio of V
We know one pyramid V=16, the other is V=1024
16 to 1024 = 64 cm3, take cube root of that for a ratio of 4
Multiply your known measurements x 4
So height is 3 x 4 = 12
Base edge is 4 x 4 =16
Volume is known at 1024cm3

Algebra is Faster And Better Than “Basic” Math

Just as multiplying two by twelve is faster than counting to 24 or adding 2 twelve times, algebra helps us solve problems more quickly and easily than we could otherwise. Algebra also opens up whole new areas of life problems, such as graphing curves that cannot be solved with only foundational math skills.

The graph of h(x) is shown. Graph of h of x that begins in quadrant two and decreases rapidly following the vertical line which
fgiga [73]

Answer:

x-intercept

The point at which the curve crosses the x-axis, so when y = 0.

From inspection of the graph, the curve appears to cross the x-axis when x = -4, so the x-intercept is (-4, 0)

y-intercept

The point at which the curve crosses the y-axis, so when x = 0.

From inspection of the graph, the curve appears to cross the y-axis when y = -1, so the y-intercept is (0, -1)

Asymptote

A line which the curve gets infinitely close to, but never touches.

From inspection of the graph, the curve appears to get infinitely close to but never touches the vertical line at x = -5, so the vertical asymptote is x = -5

(Please note: we cannot be sure that there is a horizontal asymptote at y = -2 without knowing the equation of the graph, or seeing a larger portion of the graph).

F________G_______H_______I

we know that
FI=FG+GH+HI-----> solve for GH
GH=FI-FG-HI
FI=7 units
FG=2 units
HI=1 unit
substitute
GH=7-2-1-----> GH=4 units

the answer is
