The angle of X is 108°

Given,

XW ≅ YZ

∠Z = 72°

then ∠X = ?

Properties of trapezoid are:

  • The base sides are the only pair of sides that are parallel.
  • Other than the base, the remaining sides are all non-parallel and equal in length.
  • The length of the diagonals is constant.
  • the same for the base angles.

We know that from the figure that ∠Z = ∠V & ∠W = ∠U

∵ Isosceles trapezoid rule

And sum of all the angles in a trapezoid = 360°

Now, 2 × 72 = 144

∴ 360 ₋ 144 = 216°

Now sum of other two angles = 216°

                              one angle = 216/2

                                               = 108°

Therefore the angle of ∠X is 108°

7. Find x if the perimeter of the equilateral triangle is 77. Equation: Solution: Round to the nearest hundredth. 6.5X minus 1
stealth61 [152]

If the perimeter of equilateral triangle is 77 and the equation showing the perimeter is 6.5X-1 then the value of X is equal to 12.

Given that the perimeter of equilateral triangle is 77 and the expression showing the perimeter is 6.5X-1.

We are required to find the value of X which is used in the expression.

Expression is combination of numbers, fraction, coefficients, indeterminants, determinants, which are mostly not found in equal to form.

Perimeter which is given is 77 and 6.5X-1.

6.5X-1=77

6.5X=77+1

6.5X=78

X=78/6.5

X=12

Hence if the perimeter of equilateral triangle is 77 and the expression showing the perimeter is 6.5X-1 then the value of X is equal to 12.

An interior angle and an exterior angle are adjacent. The interior angle measures 84°. What is the measure of the exterior angle
mixas84 [53]
Adjacent angles are supplementary

so the exterior angles = 180 - 84 = 96 segrees.

tell whether the quotient is greater than or less than the dividend when you divide a whole number by a fraction . explain your
Fittoniya [83]
The quotient may be greater than or less than the dividend or divisor.
When the dividend is less than the divisor, the quotient will be less than one.
When the dividend is greater than the divisor, the quotient will be greater than one.
