Let  d₁ =  distance from the rock to the treasure.

Let  d₂ =  distance from the tree to the treasure.

    d₁ = $\sqrt{x^2 + (y-2)^2}$

    d₂ = $\sqrt{(16-x)^2 + (21-y)^2}$

We want d₁/d₂ = 5/9 in order to locate the treasure.
