Answer:

x = 65 , y = 64

Step-by-step explanation:

y - 16 and 2y + 4 are same- side interior angles and sum to 180° , that is

y - 16 + 2y + 4 = 180

3y - 12 = 180 ( add 12 to both sides )

3y = 192 ( divide both sides by 3 )

y = 64

then

2y + 4 = 2(64) + 4 = 128 + 4 = 132

the exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the 2 opposite interior angles.

2y + 4 is an exterior angle of the triangle , then

x + 67 = 132 ( subtract 67 from both sides )

x = 65

Prove that the diagonals of a rectangle bisect each other. the midpoint of is _____
Deffense [45]
In this attached picture, we can prove that triangles AOB and COD are congruent. ∠CDO and ∠ABO are equal because they are alternate angles. Similarly, ∠OAB and ∠OCD are equal because they are alternate angles, as well. We have a rectangle and in the rectangle, opposite sides are equal; AB = CD. Then, because of Angle-SIde-Angle principle, we can say that triangles AOB and COD are equal. If triangles are congruent, then OD = OB and OC = AO. Applying congruency to the triangles ACD and BCD, we can see that these triangles are also congruent. It means that the diagonals are equal. Since, OD = OB and OC = AO, it proves that the point O simultaneously is the midpoint and intersection point for the diagonals.

The residence of a city voted on whether to raise property taxes the ratio of yes to no votes was 2 to 3 is there were 4795 tota
Vinvika [58]

Answer: The number of yes votes = 1918.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The ratio of yes to no votes = 2:3

Then the ratio of yes to total votes = \dfrac{2}{2+3}=\dfrac25

Total votes = 4795

Number of yes votes  =  (ratio of yes to total votes) x (Total votes )

= \dfrac{2}{5}\times4795=1918

Hence, the number of yes votes = 1918.

ad-work [718]

Answer:

146

Step-by-step explanation:

Since John works for 9 hours and makes 14 an hour. You multiply 14 by 9 which equals 126. You add 20 from the tips to 126. This makes 146.
