Assuming barber wants to setup a saloon in a measuring length of 3m by 3m. He has a simple wooden chairs,3 large mirror and one

bulb. Using the knowledge of shadows and reflection, advice the barber on how to arrange a good saloon using the only item he has. Without adding more source of light, how can he enhance the lighting system in his saloon?

The best way to arrange the salon to best use what he has is:

 1. Place the bulb in the middle of the wall
 2. Directly face the chair and mirror in front of the bulb for proper lighting and reflection
 3. Place the chairs side by side of each other
 4. Each mirror should be facing each chai

What is Reflection?

This refers to the change in direction of a wavefront between two different media so that the wavefront returns to its originating medium.

Hence, we can see that from our knowledge of shadows and reflection, we can note that mirrors reflect and light helps to bring detail in a dark area and the chairs should be facing the mirrors directly so the customer can see his hair and how it is being cut by the barber.

Anastasy [175]

The seemingly invincible but very important goal of passing physics, and therefore maintaining a high GPA, motivated Kelly to study extra long hours.

The goal of the Physics primary is to provide the scholar with a broad understanding of the bodily standards of the universe, to help them develop critical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills, to empower them to suppose creatively and critically about medical troubles and experiments, and to provide schooling.

The key to passing a physics examination is to memorize critical equations and their applications. To do so, write down the equation on one facet of a observe card and what it's used for on the other side, then go through the cards and memorize every equation.

Physics allows us to prepare the universe. It deals with basics, and enables us to look the connections among seemly disparate phenomena. Physics gives us powerful gear to help us to explicit our creativity, to peer the sector in new approaches after which to alternate it. Physics is useful.

A force of 48 newtons is required to start a 5.0 kg box moving across a horizontal concrete floor. What is the coefficient of st
Soloha48 [4]

1) The coefficient of static friction is 0.980

2) The coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.908

Explanation:

1)

In the first situation, the box is still at rest. There are two forces acting on the box:

- The force of push, F, forward

- The force of static friction, F_f

Since the box is in equilibrium we have

F_f = F (1)

The value of frictional force changes from zero to a maximum value which is given by:

F_f = \mu_s mg (2)

where

\mu_s is the coefficient of static friction

m is the mass of the box

g is the acceleration of gravity

So, if the force F needed to put the box in motion is 48 N, it means that this is also the maximum value of the force of friction. So, we can combine eq.(1) and (2) to find the coefficient of static friction:

\mu_s = \frac{F}{mg}

where:

F = 48 N

m = 5.0 kg

g=9.8 m/s^2

Substituting,

\mu_s = \frac{48}{(5.0)(9.8)}=0.980

2)

In this second situation, the object is already in motion, so the equation of motion is:

F-F_f = ma

where

F = 48 N is the force applied forward

a = 0.70 m/s^2 is the acceleration of the box

F_f = \mu_k mg is the force of kinetic friction, where

\mu_k is the coefficient of kinetic friction

We can therefore rearrange the equation to find the coefficient:

F-\mu_k mg = ma\\\mu_k mg = F-ma\\\mu_k = \frac{F-ma}{mg}=\frac{48-(5.0)(0.70)}{(5.0)(9.8)}=0.908

In which case would electrical potential energy be built up and stored in the electric field? a) A positive charge is moved towa
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

The correct option is B

Explanation:

Although, it is common knowledge that in an electric field, unlike charges attract and like charges repel. However, to build up an electric potential, a positive charge is brought close to another positive charge - this causes work done to be changed to electric potential energy and stored in the electric field.

It should however be noted that when a negative charge is moved away from a positive charge, the negative charge gains electric potential energy.
