We will use the eqn from the question

y=19.42x+609.077
we know that x is the years after 2000 and we're given the year 2026 so we will do 2026-2000 to find how many years after 2000

2026-2000=26
so x=26
y=19.42(26)+609.077
y=1114.257 people will attend.
final answer would be 1114

Plug in 20 for x (since x = the number of years since 2000 and the year is 2026)
19.43(26) + 609.077 = 1,114.257
You need to round to the nearest whole number, which makes 1,114.257--> 1,114.
This means that 1,114 people are expected to attend the fair in 2026.

The length of a string is L inches. Samantha cuts it into two unequal pieces such that the length of the small piece is 35% of L
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

The shorter piece   x  =  8.4 in

The longer one    y  =  15.6 in

Step-by-step explanation:

If we cut  a string length  L  in to unequal  pieces we get two pieces

first one with length  x  and the other one with length  y

Let call  x  the smaller piece,  then   y = L  -  x will be the longer one

If   x  =  35 %    then

x  =  0,35* L     and

y = L -  x  =  L - 0,35*L      ⇒  y  =  0,65 L     ⇒ y  =  0.65*24

Now if L  =  24  in

x  =  0,35*24          ⇒               x = 8.4 in

and

L  -  x  =  0.65*L      ⇒       L - x  =  0.65*24     y  =  L  -  x  =  15.6 in

as way of verification you can add the length of the two pieces and find:

8.4  +  15.6  = 24 in

The correlation that is most likely a causation is <span>the positive correlation between the number of sodas sold on a campus and the number of cans in the campus recycling bins.

While the other scenarios may have variables with some relation to each other, in this scenario, we can see that if a campus sells more sodas, they would end up with more cans in the recycling bins; the cans would be caused by the soda sales.</span>
