No, the answer is 1/2 (2/4). If you have a pie, cut 4 pieces, and take one piece, that is 1/4. If you cut a pie in two pieces and take one piece, you took 1/2 AND that piece you took would be bigger than the 1/4 piece.

when comparing fractions the denominators of the 2 fractions should be equal

the fractions being compared

\frac{1}{4} the denominator is 4

\frac{2}{4} the denominator is 4

therefore both fractions have the same denominator

then we can directly compare the numerators

higher the numerator value, higher the value of the fraction

so from 1/4 and 2/4 , the fraction with a greater numerator is 2/4

so the larger fraction is 2/4

the number of defectives in 10 different samples of 50 observations each is the following: 5, 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 1, 4, 2, 3. what is
Law Incorporation [45]

The estimate of the population proportion of defectives is 0.05.

Given that,

There are 10 different samples of 50 observations, that is, total of 500 observations.

To find : The estimate of the population proportion of defectives

And total number of defectives from 500 observations is (5+1+1+2+3+3+1+4+2+3) = 25

Thus, the point estimate for the population proportion defectives will be,

=25/500=0.05

or just obtain the individual proportion of each sample and then take their average to obtain the same result.

Thus, the point estimate for the population proportion defectives will be 0.05

Explain why the graph of the equation g(x)=-(x+1)^2-3 would be a parabola opening downward.
otez555 [7]

g(x) = -(x + 1)^2 - 3

Let's simplify this equation

g(x) = -(x^2 + 2x + 1) - 3

Distribute the negative sign

g(x) = -x^2 - 2x + 1 - 3

Combine like terms

g(x) = -x^2 - 2x - 2

The value of a = -2 and this value is LESS THAN 0
