Answer:
Statement 1: There are three Stooges: Moe, the leader; Larry, the follower; and Curly, the fool.
Explanation:
In the given four sentences, the colon is used in all cases in listing the different items/ persons/ lists. This is right and valid.
Now, to put a semi-colon in a sentence, there is a further need for that particular punctuation mark. Semi-colons are used in between the items in the same sentence and if the items have a comma in between. This way, there will also be lesser use of the comma.
Thus, the sentence that needs a semi-colon in it is statement 1.
The final sentence will be written as-
There are three Stooges: Moe, the leader; Larry, the follower; and Curly, the fool.

Unfortunately while i was in a ship a huge storm hit.Lucky i made it out safe and unhurt but very traumatized. As i was gazing over the boat i realized there was some dark clouds forming.i told my mother and she said we should get back to the bottom of the ship as soon as we can.We ran back to our room that was at the bottom of the ship.20 minutes pass and i hear a huge thunder and the boat vibrating.lighting struck our caption.People started screaming and i heard my mom so tight.the storm passed and we made it back but i’m never sure i will be the same.Hearing the terrified screams or people still hunts me.

Dear Editor,
A Cry for help on the Break down of Law and Order in Pakistan.

Dear Sir/Ma, my name is Azreel. I am from Pakistan and wish to tell the horrors going on in a Pakistan to a bigger audience through you paper.
Pakistan has always felt the sharp stings of war and its ugliness as a nation. We currently are in a war with terrorism, killings and kidnappings. The rule of law is not obeyed by the government and civilians do not have the right to freely express themselves.
Recently, i came across a video of young Pakistani school boys of school age, that were receiving trainings on how to kill. This has raised a lot of concern to some of us. Due to the ravages we have expressed due to terrorism ,seeing this video has left an impression that there is no end in sight for all this killings and maiming. We need help.
given the popularity of your paper, i request that you help us tell our story so as to attract the attention of the public to our plight.
Thank you.
Yours Sincerely,
Azreel Mohadini
The major irony in the poem "Ballad of Birmingham" by Dudley Randall is that the daughter asked her mother if she could go and participate in The Freedom March. However, her mother tells her it's better to go to church and pray. In the end, the church is bombed, and the daughter dies, which is quite ironic and tragic. The moral of the story is that no place is safe when the minds of people are corrupt.
