The angle of depression from the hot-air

Mathematics
1 answer:

Answer:

3497.47 feet

I think it's the answer because when you look where I've drawn...that's where the angle of depression is and 6600 is the hypotenuse, so you use the sine method where you have opposite over hypotenuse

\sin(32 = opposite \6600)

and you'll get your answer as 3497.47

Hello, I gotta turn it turn in this question today, help!!!!!!
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

2 or -2

Step-by-step explanation:

If x² - 8x = -12

Step 1

We find x by solving

x² - 8x = -12

We equate to zero

x² - 8x + 12 = 0

We factorise

x² - 6x - 2x + 12 = 0

x(x - 6) -2(x - 6) = 0

(x - 6) (x - 2) = 0

x - 6 = 0, x = 6

x - 2 = 0, x = 2

x = 6 or 2

Step 2

What is x - 4?

When x = 6

= 6 - 4 = 2

When x = 2

= 2 - 4 = -2

Therefore, x - 4 = 2 or -2

Which inequalities are true? Check all that apply. Three-fifths < 0 Four-sixths greater-than one-half Nine-elevenths < 1 T
Kipish [7]

\frac{3}{5} < 0

\frac{8}{16} > \frac{1}{2}\\\\

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

<em><u>We have to find the inequalities that are true</u></em>

<em><u>Option 1</u></em>

\frac{3}{5} < 0\\\\0.6 < 0

0.6 is not less than 0

Thus this inequality is not true

<em><u>Option 2</u></em>

\frac{4}{6} > \frac{1}{2}\\\\0.667 > 0.5

0.667 is greater than 0.5

Thus this inequality is true

<em><u>Option 3</u></em>

\frac{9}{11} < 1\\\\0.818 < 1

0.818 is less than 1

Thus this inequality is true

<em><u>Option 4</u></em>

\frac{8}{16} > \frac{1}{2}\\\\

0.5 = 0.5

Thus the above inequality is not true

31/18 is the answer.
To solve, find the common denominator. In this case, I used 54. You need to multiply each fraction to get 54 on the denominator of both.

Write an equation for the nth term of the geometric sequence 6000,3000,1500,750 <br> PLEASE HELP!!!
Wewaii [24]

Answer: 6000\cdot (1/2)^{n-1}

Each term is half of the previous one, so the common ratio is 1/2. Then to get from the first term to the nth term, you have to take n - 1 steps, multiplying by 1/2 each time and by 6000 to account for the first term.

i hope this helps! :D

The intercepts of the equation x^2 + 4y^2 = 16 are ___<br> PLEASE HELP
Eva8 [605]
Yintercepts are where x=0
set to zero to solve

0^2+4y^2=16
4y^2=16
divide 4
y^2=4
sqrt both sides
y=+/-2

xintercept is where y=0

x^2+4(0)^2=16
x^2+0=16
x^2=16
sdqrtboth sides
x=+/-4

yintercepts are (0,2) and (0,-2)
xintercepts are (4,0) and (-4,0)
