The exercise below is one that requires the proof that of certain dimensions using the rules of congruence. of triangles.

<h3>What does it mean for two angles to be congruent?</h3>

It simply means that both angles are similar in measure.

<h3>What is the required proof of the given problem?</h3>

It is given that ∠BAD=∠EAC

∠BAD+∠DAC=∠EAC+∠DAC   [add ∠DAC on both sides]

Therefore ∠BAC=∠DAE

In △BAC and △DAE

AB=AD (Given)

∠BAC=∠DAE (Proved above)

AC=AE (Given)

Therefore △BAC≅△DAE (By SAS congruence rule)

Therefore BC=DE because Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles CPCT are congruent.

What are the solutions of the equation x4 - 9x2 + 8 = 0? Use u substitution to solve.
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

\large\boxed{B.\ x=\pm1\ and\ x=\pm2\sqrt2}

Step-by-step explanation:

x^4-9x^2+8=0\\\\x^{2\cdot2}-9x^2+8=0\qquad\text{use}\ (a^n)^m=a^{nm}\\\\(x^2)^2-9x^2+8=0\\\\\text{substitute}\ x^2=t\geq0\\\\t^2-9t+8=0\\\\t^2-t-8t+8=0\\\\t(t-1)-8(t-1)=0\\\\(t-1)(t-8)+0\iff t-1=0\ \vee\ t-8=0\\\\t-1=0\qquad\text{add 1 to both sides}\\t=1\geq0\\\\t-8=0\qquad\text{add 8 to both sides}\\t=8\geq0

t=x^2\to x^2=1\ \vee\ x^2=8\\\\x^2=1\Rightarrow x=\pm\sqrt1\to x=\pm1\\\\x^2=8\Rightarrow x=\pm\sqrt8\to x=\pm\sqrt{4\cdot2}\to x=\pm\sqrt4\cdot\sqrt2\to x=\pm2\sqrt2

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

answer no 3:

1] Factor out the common term 2.

2(3x+y) = -26

2] Divide both sides by 2.

3x+y= -26/2

3x+y = − 13

3]Subtract y from both sides.

3x = - 13-y

4] Divide both sides by 3.

x = -13-y/3

Part 2:-

Add 6y to both sides.

x=21+6y

x=21+6y

Answer:

Slope: -10

Y-intercept: 50

X-intercept: 5

Step-by-step explanation:

y-mx+b

y=-10x+50

  • m is slope so, slope is -10
  • plug in 0 for x and solve to get y-intercept                                   y=-10(0)+50 , y intercept is 50
  • plug in 0 for y and solve to get x-intercept                                                   0=-10x+50, x-intercept is 5
