the equation in the slope-intercept of the side of triangle ABC that is perpendicular to segment EF is y = x + 1

<h3>How to determine the equation</h3>

From the figure given, we can deduce the coordinates of the sides

For A

A ( 4,2)

For B

B ( 4, 5)

C ( 1, 2)

D ( 2, -4 )

E  ( 5, -4)

F ( 2, -1)

The slope for BC

Slope = \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}

Substitute the values for both B and C coordinates, we have

Slope = \frac{2- 5}{1 - 4}

Find the difference for both the numerator and denominator

Slope = \frac{-3}{-3}

Slope = 1

We have the rotation for both point ( 0, 1)

y - y1 = m ( x - x1)

The values for y1 and x1 are 1 and 0 respectively and the slope m is 1

Substitute the values

y - 1 = 1 ( x - 0)

y - 1 = x

Make 'y' the subject of formula

y = x + 1

Thus, the equation in the slope-intercept of the side of triangle ABC that is perpendicular to segment EF is y = x + 1

F(x)=2x and g(x)=square root of x what is the domain of f(g(x))?
Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

x\ge 0

Step-by-step explanation:

The given functions are:

f(x)=2x

and

g(x)=\sqrt{x}

Now,

f(g(x))=f(\sqrt{x} )

f(g(x))=2\sqrt{x}

The domain refers to values of x for which f(g(x))=2\sqrt{x} is defined.

The  expression under the radical sign must not be negative.

The domain is

x\ge 0

Rewrite the equation by completing the square.<br> x^2+ 12x + 36 = 0
svetoff [14.1K]

Answer:

(x+6)^2 =0

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2+ 12x + 36 = 0

Subtract 36 from each side

x^2+ 12x + 36-36 = 0-36

x^2 +12x = -36

Take the coefficient of x

12

Divide by 2

12/2 =6

Square it

6^2 =36

Add this to each side

x^2+ 12x + 36 = -36+36

(x+12/2)^2 = 0

(x+6)^2 =0

"you buy a baseball bat and a ball for $1.10. the baseball bat costs $1.00 more than the ball. how much did the ball cost?"
dalvyx [7]
10 cents because the total was a dollar 10 and the bat cost cost a dollar so you would subtract that and you would be left with 10 cents thus being the ball
