Answer:

3 NaOH +  H₃PO₄ ----->  Na₃PO₄ + 3 H₂O

Explanation:

This appears to be a double-displacement reaction. In these reactions, the cation of one compound is swapped with the cation of another. Therefore, Na⁺ (from NaOH) is swapped with H⁺ (from H₃PO₄). When constructing the new compounds, you may need to alter the amount of each ion within a particular compound to to make it neutral.

New Product #1: Na₃PO₄

----------> Na⁺ and PO₄³⁻

----------> +1 + 1 + 1 + (-3) = 0

New Product #2: H₂O (or HOH)

----------> H⁺ and OH⁻

----------> +1 + (-1) = 0

Now that you know the products, you need to balance the chemical equation. An equation is balanced when there is an equal amount of each element on both sides. These amounts can be modified by adding coefficients.

The unbalanced equation:

NaOH + H₃PO₄ -----> Na₃PO₄ + H₂O

Reactants: 1 sodium, 5 oxygen, 4 hydrogen, 1 phosphorus

Products: 3 sodium, 5 oxygen, 2 hydrogen, 1 phosphorus

The balanced equation:

3 NaOH +  H₃PO₄ ----->  Na₃PO₄ + 3 H₂O

Reactants: 3 sodium, 7 oxygen, 6 hydrogen, 1 phosphorus

Products: 3 sodium, 7 oxygen, 6 hydrogen, 1 phosphorus

**I was having trouble balancing the equation with the reactant H₂PO₄⁻. From my experience, I believe this compound may have been mistyped. As such, I used H₃PO₄. Please let me know if the reactant was written properly**

If a patient requires 30g/day of some medication and it comes in 500 mg tablets , how many tablets does this patient need in one
Anna11 [10]
Since 1000 mg=1g
            500mg=?
500/1000*1g=0.5g
       Since we know that 500mg is 0.5g then divide 30g by 0.5g
30/0.5=60
Therefore the patients needs to take 60 tablets a day.

Plz solve mcqs#04 with full detailed.note
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

The correct option is;

(B) 1 s², 2s², 2p⁶, 3s², 3p³

Explanation:

The electron configuration is the outline of the electron arrangement about a nucleus

In the systemic pattern of electron arrangement within an atom, there are, s, p, d, f orbitals

The maximum number of electrons in an s, p and d orbital = 2, 6, and 10 respectively

Based on Aufbau's principle the electrons are arranged based on the order of their energy level

The charge is presented by the number of electrons in the outermost shell, an element able to form an ion of charge of -3 will gain 3 electrons to complete its outermost shell

Among the options given, option B is the only option that has the capacity to take the electrons to complete the number of electrons in the p orbital outermost shell to 6 from 3, that is 3p³ + 3e⁻→ 3p⁶.

Determine the volume occupied by 2.5 mol of a gas at 18 °C if the pressure is 81.8 kPa?
mars1129 [50]

Answer:

74 litre

Explanation:

using ideal gas eqation PV=nRT

here P(pressure)=81.8 kPa =81.8×10^3 Pa

moles=2.5

temperature=273.15+18=291.15K

Gas constant R=8.314m^3-Pa/K-mol

now, V=nRT/P = 8.314×2.5×291.5/81.8×10^3 ≈74litre
