Dress shirts and ties are complementary goods and we know that complementary goods have a negative cross-price elasticity of demand which means an increase in the price of dress shirts will decrease the demand for ties (negative cross-price elasticity of demand)

Elasticity is the ability of a deformed body of material to return to its original shape and size when the force causing the deformation is removed. Bodies with this ability are said to behave (or react) elastically.

Consumer durables are an example of demand elastic products. Things you rarely buy, like a washing machine or a car, that you can move when the price goes up. For example, car discounts have been very successful in increasing car sales through price reductions.

According to the United Nations, there were roughly 300 million humans on the planet 1,000 years ago.
defon

Answer:

d) The answer is impossible to determine from the given information

Explanation:

One might think that the correct answer is the b) it rose. However, you should consider that the statement is comparing the lifestyle of humans 1000 years ago with modern standards of poverty. Which is not entirely correct, since 1000 years ago antibiotics had not been discovered, nor had processes developed to purify water, much less invented means of transport such as train or cars. It is possible that 1000 years ago, lacking these comforts wasn't an indicator of poverty as it is today, basically because at that time in history those things didn't exist.

The beginning and ending finished goods inventories of the Prize Ring manufacturing company were $84,000 and $79,750 respectivel
VLD [36.1K]

Answer:

$67,150

Explanation:

The computation of cost of goods manufactured for this period is shown below:-

Cost of goods sold = Beginning finished goods + Cost of goods manufactured - Ending finished goods

$71,400 = $84,000 + Cost of goods manufactured - $79,750

$71,400 = $4,250 + Cost of goods manufactured

Cost of goods manufactured = $71,400 - $4,250

= $67,150

Therefore for computing the cost of goods manufactured we simply applied the above formula.
