The modal and mean mark of the frequency distribution is 5 and 4.83 respectively.

<h3>Mean and mode</h3>

Mode refers to a mark which reoccurs most in a frequency distribution.

  • Modal mark = 5

The total number of students who wrote the test = 2 + 3 + 4 + 6 + 10 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1

= 36 students

Mean mark = Total mark / Total students

= (2×1) + (3×2) + (4×3) + (6×4) + (10×5) + (4×6) + (3×7) + (2×8) + (1×9) + (1×10) / 36

= (2+6+12+24+50+24+21+16+9+10 / 36

= 174/36

= 4.83333333333333

Approximately,

Mean mark = 4.83

If 25% of students failed,

Number of students who failed = 25% of 36

= 25/100 × 36

= 0.25 × 36

= 9 students.

A central angle of a circle is 90 degrees. If the diameter of the circle is 12 cm, what is the area of the segment created by co
Yanka [14]
<h3>The area of the segment created by connecting the two points on the circle created by the angle described is 28.26 square centimeter</h3>

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that,

A central angle of a circle is 90 degrees

diameter of the circle is 12 cm

radius = 12/2 = 6 cm

To find: Area of segment

<em><u>The area of sector when angle is in degrees is:</u></em>

Area\ of\ sector = \frac{\theta}{360} \times \pi r^2

Where,

r is radius

\theta is angle in degrees

Therefore,

Area\ of\ sector = \frac{90}{360} \times 3.14 \times 6^2\\\\Area\ of\ sector = 0.25 \times 3.14 \times 36\\\\Area\ of\ sector = 28.26

Thus area of the segment created by connecting the two points on the circle created by the angle described is 28.26 square centimeter

What is a correct congruence statement for the triangles shown?
melamori03 [73]

For this one, look at the symbols inside each angle.  In math, the rounded edges inside of angles mean they are congruent.  So find which ones have the same amount of rounded edges and that would be your answer.

NKW ≅ UZE

put the corresponding angles in the middle.  Since the object you were comparing to had the one line as the middle point, then that is your middle as well.

Hope this helps! Comment with any questions you may have.
