Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies (DMD/BMD) are X-linked recessive neuromuscular disorders characterized by progressive irreversible muscle weakness and atrophy that affect both skeletal and cardiac muscles

What is Duchenne/Becker muscular dystrophy ?

Both Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy are caused by mutations in a protein called dystrophin

 • In Duchenne muscular dystrophy, functioning dystrophin is completely absent in muscle, while in Becker muscular dystrophy, there is some dystrophin present, although not enough for completely normal muscle function.

 • it usually affects boys in early childhood; people with the condition will usually only live into their 20s or 30s.

A desert plant called Kalanchoe can reproduce, either with sexual reproduction through flowers, or asexually by budding off mini
AnnyKZ [126]

Answer:

The correct answer will be- will be called "Clones" with no genetic variation thus result in less adaptability to environment.

Explanation:

Plants can reproduce by both modes of reproduction called asexual and sexual reproduction. The asexual mode of reproduction produces genetically similar offsprings in less period of time and thus helps in spreading of the species in minimum time as in the case of Kalanchoe.

The Kalanchoe can dominate a large area of the habitat using this mode of reproduction but at the cost of genetic variation.

Since asexual reproduction results in Clones with same genetic material so the descendants of the plant will be less adaptive to changing the environment as asexual reproduction does not involve genes.
