What is a
distributed practice?

This refers to the learning technique where practice occurs in multiple short sessions over a long period of time with an acceptable amount of space between each session.
The technique involves engaging in lengthy periods of practicing different activities or studying other material rather than occurring close together in time.

Answer:
Abstract
Background and purpose: The sodium channel is a primary target for treating central nervous system disorders such as epilepsy. In this study the anticonvulsant effect of BmK IT2, a sodium channel-specific neurotoxin, was evaluated in different animal models of epilepsy.
Experimental approach: Experiments were performed on freely moving rats made epileptic by administration of either pentylenetetrazole (PTZ) or pilocarpine. BmK IT2 (0.05–0.5 μg in 2 μl) was microinjected into the CA1 area and its effects on PTZ-induced widespread, seizure-like behaviour and cortex epileptiform EEG, as well as on pilocarpine-induced seizure-like behaviour and c-Fos expression were studied.
Key results: Intrahippocampal application of BmK IT2 dose-dependently inhibited PTZ-induced seizure-like behaviour, and reduced the numbers and duration of the high amplitude and frequency discharges (HAFDs) of the epileptiform EEG component induced by PTZ. Similarly, in the pilocarpine-induced status epilepticus (SE) model, BmK IT2 significantly prolonged the latency to onset of the SE, reduced the severity of SE and suppressed hippocampal c-Fos expression during SE.

Answer:
The answer is social anxiety disorder (SAD), more specifically the performance type.
Explanation:
Social anxiety disorder is characterised by fear of engaging in social situations for fear of being judged or ridiculed. People with SAD might experience strong physical symtpoms such as nausea and even fainting.
In the example, Patrick suffers from performance type of SAD, as he is only anxious while performing live. A person with general SAD would also feel reluctant to rehearse in a safer environment.
Answer: Tourism, migration from rural areas to towns and out-migration.
Explanation: As the affirmative sentence above, the Micronesia, archipelago of more than 2,000 Islands in the South Pacific, is affected by the specific weather patterns of this region. Most of these Islands that make up Micronesia territory are located in low coral attols; the western of it’s local was formed by volcanic activity; are subjected to cyclones, the known El Niño fenomenum and also by global warming, remaining a small portion of productive land for agriculture, even for subsistence.
The Micronesians always had to find ways to survive in their fluctuating climate. The tourism is one way to atract people to come visit the Islands and creates, at the same time, employees to your people.
Considering the scarce land, a lot of Micronesians migrated from rural rural areas to towns looking for jobs, leaving aside the subsistence economy. But, the one’s who can’t find a job, out-migrated, specially to Guam, Saipan and Hawaii.
