The receptors involved in smell and motion detection are olfactory receptors and proprioceptors respectively.

Olfactory receptors are present on the cells of the olfactory epithelium in the nasal cavity. These receptors bind to the odor molecules and send signals inside the cell by producing chemical changes that are then detected and help in olfaction (detection of smell). These are a type of chemoreceptors.

Proprioceptors are a type of mechanoreceptors that detect changes in body position and maintain equilibrium. These receptors detect the position of limbs while walking and other activities. They are located in the skin, muscles, joints, and tendons.

Joni was able to smell the tangy sea air because of the olfactory receptors and was able to feel the motion of water beneath her feet because of the proprioceptors.

It is often assumed that the moon is a perfect sphere, which it is not. The side of the moon facing earth is more dense than the side facing away. Therefore, it takes energy for the moon to rotate its earth-facing side away from the earth. Such energy is not currently available, so the same side always faces earth, caught in earth’s gravity.

Explanation:

According to this question, Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that makes a person feel happy when released in the brain. However, it is stated that certain drugs stop the synapses from removing neurotransmitters, like Dopamine.

Hence, when these drugs cause the amount of neurotransmitters in the synapses to be increased, this means that the response caused by those neurotransmitters will also be increased. For example, an increase in Dopamine will cause an increase in HAPPINESS.

This idea of uniformitarianism was linked to biological sciences because according to Darwin and Wallace's observation, the uniform modification of genes among the population brought about the species diversity on the Earth.
