Hawai'an volcanic islands

Hawai'an volcanic islands is not part of a convergent/subduction plate boundary.

What kind of plate boundary produces a sequence of volcanic islands?

 • convergent boundary
 • Along the convergent boundary, the new magma (molten rock) rises and may erupt violently to form volcanoes, frequently creating arcs of islands.
 • Divergent plate boundaries are created when two plates are moving apart.

Why do volcanic chains and convergent borders coexist?

 • Subduction causes melting that is partially molten.
 • Water loss in the plate causes partial melting.
 • Mantle material melts as a result and rises to the surface.

Which are the 4 types of convergent boundries?

 • Divergent Plate Boundary.
 • Convergent Plate Boundary.
 • Transform Plate Boundary.
 • Hotspot.

Deoxyribose Glucose Guanine Phosphate Ribose
Sergeu [11.5K]
There is no attached table, so it could not be told precisely which of the four molecules is the DNA. But, it is known that DNA consists of deoxyribose, guanine, and phosphate.
The base unit of DNA is called a nucleotide. The nucleotide consists of a nucleobase (adenine - A, thymine - T, cytosine - C, and guanine -G), a monosaccharide deoxyribose, and a phosphate group. By knowing this, it is easy to choose which molecule of those is the DNA.

Why did the invention of pcr make dna fingerprinting possible
Svetlanka [38]
Answer:

With the invention of the PCR technique , DNA profiling took huge strides forward in both discriminating power and the ability to recover information from very small or degraded starting samples.

The process of PCR mimics the biological process of DNA replication but confines it to specific DNA sequences of interest.

In PCR process , the DNA sample is denatured into separate individual polynucleotide strands through heating. Two oligonucleotide DNA primers are used to hybridise to two corresponding nearby sites on opposite DNA strands. Thus two new copies of the sequences of interest are generated.

Repeated denaturation , hybridisation and extension in this fashion produce an exponentially growing number of copies of the DNA of interest.

Quantitative PCR methods enable automated , precise and high - throughput measurements.
