After Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi Party, rose to power in what was an economically and politically destabilized Germany, he rearmed the country and pushed the country into war. A number of agreements were made between him and Italy and with Japan so that he could further his ambitions of dominating the world. In September 1939, Hitler invaded Poland, leading to Great Britain and France declaring war on Germany, which would be the beginning of World War II. Over the next six years, the conflict would claim more lives, destroy more property, and destroy more land than any other war in history. Six million Jews were among the estimated 45-60 million people killed as part of Hitler's diabolical “Final Solution,” now known as the Holocaust, and they were exterminated in Nazi concentration camps as a part of Hitler's diabolical “Final Solution.”
