One thing I have learned from the coding guidelines for Surgery of Skull Base preceding the codes (61580-61619) is  how to code the The Approach Codes.

The coding guideline are known to be codes that are quick response to the issue that it site. With the use of the code, one can be able to know the issue under discussion or that is happening.

I  will apply the coding guideline when assigning codes  for all the services that demands it by following the steps that it requires.

<h3>How do you code a skull base surgery?</h3>

The steps of  Skull Base Surgery that has the CPT Codes (61580-61619) are:

  • The Approach Codes (61580-61598).
  • The Definitive Procedure Codes (61600-61616).
  • The Repair and also the Reconstruction of Surgical Defects as regards to the Skull Base Codes (61618-61619).

Hence, One thing I have learned from the coding guidelines for Surgery of Skull Base preceding the codes (61580-61619) is  how to code the The Approach Codes.
