What changes the speed of light

Physics

Answer:

speed of light does not change, it has to travel more in a medium than in vacuum, When light is passing through a medium, the electrons in the medium absorbs the energy from the light and gets excited and releases them back.But Light waves are made up of both an electric and magnetic wave, so changing those quantities (permittivity and permeability) will change the measured speed of light.

Hope this helps :D

Answer:

Light waves are made up of both an electric and magnetic wave, so changing those quantities (permittivity and permeability) will change the measured speed of light.  Other than that, it would not change.

You have a spring-loaded air rifle. When it is loaded, the spring is compressed 0.3 m and has a spring constant of 150 N/m. In j
Feliz [49]

The potential energy of the spring is 6.75 J

The elastic potential energy stored in the spring is given by the equation:

E= \frac{1}{2} kx^2

where;

k is the spring constant

x is the compression/stretching of the string

In this problem, we have the spring as follows:

k = 150 N/m is the spring constant

x = 0.3 m is the compression

Substituting in the equation, we get

E=\frac{1}{2} (150) (0.3)^2

E=6.75J

Therefore. the elastic potential energy stored in the spring is 6.75J .

Most subduction-derived magma never reaches the surface. however, what is formed if this type of magma reaches the surface of a
Allushta [10]
The subduction zone is the zone in the crust of the Earth where tectonic plates meet.
Magma is a hot fluid formed in the crust. This fluid is the one from which lava is formed.

Most magma that is formed in this region never reaches the surface. However, if it does, belts of volcanoes will be formed.

If the ball hits Olaf and bounces off his chest horizontally at 7.90 m/s in the opposite direction, what is his speed vf after t
Reil [10]

Answer:

Velocity = 0.105m/s

Explanation:

Using conservation of momentum:

Momentum before impact= mass of ball × velocity of ball

= 0.400×10.8= 4.32

Momentum after impart= mass of ball × velocity of ball + mass of olaf × velocity of olaf

= 4.35 +3.56 + 74.9Vf

Vf=7.88_74.9 = o.0.105m/s
