Furkat [3]

Answer:

she felt that she and her family belonged to neither American or Canadian side.

Explanation:

The young boy's mother told the Canadian border guard that they are coming from and going to a place called "Standoff" because she felt that she and her family belonged to neither American or Canadian side.

The mother simply wanted to be "Blackfoot" and felt that her identity should not rest on American or Canadian Blackfoot. The mothers used the place "Standoff" because that's where she felt like she belonged, a place which neither America or Canada owned, when asked about her citizenship.

Read this sentence from "President Richard M. Nixon: Re-election, Second Term, and Watergate."
Alexxandr [17]

Answer:

C: Confessions.

Explanation:

Synonyms are words that have the same meaning despite the difference in their words or spellings. Synonyms are, in a way, the different ways by which things are expressed through the use of different words but still contain or express the same meaning.

In the given sentence, the term "revelations" is used to refer to the things said in the Watergate tapes. This word "revelation" is synonymous with disclosures, thereby making them all synonymous with the word "confession".

Thus, the correct answer is option C.

FURST ANSWER GETS BRAINLIEST<br>what is the theme of the book Bud, not Buddy?
bulgar [2K]
To be honest, I googled this, so reword your answer, but hopefully this helps.

Family

In the book, Bud's mother passed away when he was just six years old. Since then, he has been living in foster homes and orphanages. He only as a couple of items that were his mother's to remember her by. One of the items is a flyer for a musician, Herman E. Calloway. Bud is convinced that this is his father and sets out to find him. Throughout the book, Bud is determined to find the man who he thinks is his father. This illustrates the theme of the importance of family.

Bud finds out the Herman E. Calloway is not his father, but his grandfather. Bud then is left to wonder why his mother ran away from her family, and if she was unhappy enough to run away, why did she keep flyers of her father and his band? These questions once again center around the theme of family importance.
