This doesn't mean that those who have lower socioeconomic status know nothing but it just states that acquiring information and absorbing it is much faster and better for those with high socioeconomic status.

Why does the Knowledge Gap Exist?

According to this hypothesis there is a belief that the higher the socioeconomic status of an individual the better are the chances to receive teh best education , with better education a person is able to acquire , comprehend and effectively use that information because they have been previously equipped on how to search for information and how to use it.

The basic metaphor for this poem is the comparison of a train to a horse “I like to see it laugh miles and let the valleys up” The interesting thing in this poem is that the word train in the word horse or never mentioned to the reader has to read the poem thoroughly this is a metaphor in which both the literal and figurative are not mentioned
