The probability of he/she is a technician or production operator will be 7/8.

<h3>What is probability?</h3>

The probability of an event occurring is defined by probability.

If you flip a coin, the likelihood that it will land on its head or tail is nothing more than the chance that either the head or the tail will occur.

Given,

Event 1 = selection of technician

Event 2 = selection of production operator

Since both events are independent and nothing has common in between

So,

P(1 or 2 ) = p(1) × p(2)

So,

probability (technician or production operator) = probability of technician × probability of production operator.

Probability (technician or production operator) = 10/40 + 25/40 = 7/8

Hence the probability of he/she is a technician or production operator will be 7/8.

Data on the blood cholesterol levels of 6 rats give mean = 85, s= 12. A 95% confidence interval for the mean blood cholesterol o
lana [24]

The <em><u>correct answer</u></em> is:

c)75.4 to 94.6

Explanation:

The formula for a confidence interval is:

\mu \pm z*(\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}),

where μ is the mean, z is the z-score associated with the level of confidence we want, σ is the standard deviation, and n is the sample size.

Our mean is 85, our standard deviation is 12, our sample size is 6, and since we want 95% confidence, our z-score is 1.96:

85\pm 1.96(\frac{12}{\sqrt{6}})=85\pm 9.6=85-9.6, 85+9.6=75.4, 94.6

A psychologist thinks that listening to Mozart helps people think. She gives subjects a set of puzzles and measure how many they
BigorU [14]

Answer: 0.8

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assume that 5 puzzles were solved in 5mins. That is, 1min for each puzzle to be solved.

From our assumption, our sample size will be 5.

The probability that a subject will solve more than 1 puzzle will be number of occurrence from 2 to 5 which is 4.

This gives: 4/5 = 0.8 to one decimal place.
