When people allowed the example of others to validate how to think, feel, and act, Cialdini (2008) called this the consistency principle of persuasion.

The coherence principle states that people are motivated by cognitive coherence and change their attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, and behaviors to achieve it. Robert Cialdini and his research team found that Cialdini I have done extensive research on what I call the Consistency of Belief Principle.

Simply put, the principle of consistency is that once an organization, and more specifically accounting or an accounting department, adopts an accounting principle or method for documenting and reporting information, it must apply that method consistently. It means you should keep using it.

in the first movement of beethoven’s symphony no. 5, how does the second theme differ from the opening theme?
Karolina [17]

The second theme is different from the opening theme because it's in a major key.

This difference allows:

  • The sound in the second theme presents a more serious and striking nature.
  • This increases the drama and allows for more attention from the listeners.
  • This change allows for more emotional content, which is gradually increasing, allowing for greater dynamism in the music.

In this case, we can say that the change in Key is performed at an opportune moment to catch the listener's attention and direct the rest of the melody.

Why did people in Saint-Domingue fight for their independence?
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

he revolt began on 22 August 1791,[3] and ended in 1804 with the former colony's independence. It involved blacks, mulattoes, French, Spanish, and British participants—with the ex-slave Toussaint Louverture emerging as Haiti's most charismatic hero. The revolution was the only slave uprising that led to the founding of a state which was both free from slavery, and ruled by non-whites and former captives.[4] It is now widely seen as a defining moment in the history of the Atlantic World.[5][6]

Haiti at the beginning of the Haitian revolution in 1791.

Its effects on the institution of slavery were felt throughout the Americas. The end of French rule and the abolition of slavery in the former colony was followed by a successful defense of the freedoms they won, and, with the collaboration of free persons of color, their independence from white Europeans.[7][8][9] The revolution represented the largest slave uprising since Spartacus' unsuccessful revolt against the Roman Republic nearly 1,900 years earlier,[10] and challenged long-held European beliefs about alleged black inferiority and about enslaved persons' ability to achieve and maintain their own freedom. The rebels' organizational capacity and tenacity under pressure inspired stories that shocked and frightened slave owners in the hemisphere.[11]
