The height of the arch at a distance of 5 feet from the center is approximately 10. 93 feet

Equation of an eclipse

It is important to note that the standard equation of an eclipse centered at origin behind the shape of arch is given as;

\frac{x^2}{a^2} + \frac{y^2}{b^2}

Where;

  • x - Horizontal distance, in feet
  • y - Vertical distance, in feet
  • a - Horizontal semi - axis length (half-width), in feet
  • b - Vertical semi - axis length (height), in feet

If we know that x = 6feet , a = 20 feet and b = 12feet, then the height of the arch at this location is;

y = b . \sqrt{1 + \frac{x^2}{a^2} }

y = 12. \sqrt{1 - \frac{6^2}{20^2} }

y = 10. 92 feet

Thus, the height of the arch at a distance of 5 feet from the center is approximately 10. 93 feet

For each given p, let Z have a binomial distribution with parameters p and N. Suppose that N is itself binomially distributed wi
8090 [49]

Explanation:

Lets interpret Z with M trials. First we have M trials, each trial can be a success or not. The number of success is called N. Each trial that is a success becomes a trial, and if it is a success it becomes a success for Z. Thus, in order for a trial to be successful, it needs first to be successful for the random variable N (and it is with probability q), and given that, it should be a success among the N trials of the original definition of Z (with probability p).

This gives us that each trial has probability pq of being successful. Note that this probability is pq independently of the results of the other trials, because the results of the trials of both N and the original definition of Z are independent. This shows us that Z is the total amount of success within M independent trials of an experiment with pq probability of success in each one. Therefore, Z has Binomial distribution with parameters pq and M.

A rectangular garden has length and width as given by the expressions below.
Tom [10]

Answer:

P = -12xy - 56y - 42x + 8

Step-by-step explanation:

                                    P = 2L + 2W

P = 2(4 - 7(3x + 4y)) + 2(3x(-2y))

P = 8 - 14(3x + 4y) + 6x(-2y)

P = 8 - 42x - 56y - 12xy

                              P = -12xy - 56y - 42x + 8

I need the answer to a parts I-iii and the answer to b
fomenos

Answer:

a)

i) Mean = 72

ii) Median = 72

iii) Mode = 72

b)

69, 70, 71, 72, 72, 72, 73, 74, 75

Step-by-step explanation:

a. To find mean, median and mode

It is given that all the 9 students get 72 marks.

Therefore the data set be,

72, 72, 72, 72, 72, 72, 72, 72 72

i) mean = (sum of data)/(total number of data)

= (9 * 72)/9 = 9

ii) Median - Central data in the data set when arranging ascending or descending order

72, 72, 72, 72, 72, 72, 72, 72 72

Median = 72

iii) Mode - Most repeating data in the data set

Here mode = 72

b). To find a data set

69, 70, 71, 72, 72, 72, 73, 74, 75

Here Mean, mode and median are all 72
