The Battle of the Little Bighorn was a conflict involving the Native Indians and the 7th calvary troops fought along the ridges, steep bluffs, and ravines of the Little Bighorn River, in south-central Montana on June 25-26, 1876.

The native Indians involved were the warriors of the Lakota Sioux, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes.

The survivor of the Battle of Little Bighorn, Charles Windolph received Medal of Honor for his bravery in protecting his comrades who went for water for the injured in the battle.
