The Cognitive psychological approach emphasizes the way in which the mind creates perceptual experience.

The cognitive approach studies internal mental processes such as attention, perception, memory, and decision-making using experimental research methods. Cognitive psychologists assume that the mind actively processes information from our senses (touch, listen, taste etc.).

And now Science currently uses four approaches to better understand human cognition, which are frequently overlapping and frequently combined. These are they:

1. Cognitive psychology is the study of "human cognition through the use of behavioral evidence."

2. Cognitive neuropsychology is the study of patients with brain injuries to better understand 'normal' cognition.

3. Cognitive neuroscience is the study of cognition by combining evidence from the brain and behavior.

4. Computational cognitive science is the study of human cognition through the use of computational models.
