Coping skills usually involves adjusting to or tolerating negative events or realities

while you have to try to keep your positive or self-image and also emotional equilibrium. Coping occurs in the context of life when changes that are perceived can be stressful. Psychological stress is usually associated with a negative of life changes, such as a losing of job or loved one. However, all the changes require some sort of the adaptation. Even a positive changes — such as getting married or having  child — can be also stressful.

Coping also involves a adjusting to a unusual demands, or stressors. This might requires giving a greater effort of using the greater energy than can what's needed in the daily routines of the life. Prolonged mobilization of the effort can contribute to an elevated levels of the stress-related hormones and also eventual a physical breakdown and illness
