Age-related decreases in estrogen production affect skin texture, making it dry and thin. To avoid skin injury, the nurse should avoid using tape on the client's skin.

What is estrogen?

Estrogens are a class of hormones which play an essential role in women's normal erotic and reproductive advancement.

The ovaries produce the majority of estrogen hormones, though the adrenal glands and fat cells also produce small amounts.

Estrogen production declines with age, resulting in skin to be dry and usually thin. The nurse should not being using tape on the client's skin to avoid skin injury.

Warm clothing and heart rate monitoring are required for older adult clients with lowered physiological state or hypothyroidism, but not for those with estrogen deficiency.

Thus, these intervention the nurse should provide.
