The distance between the points A to B is 899.9 feet. After rounding off the  nearest integer we get 900 feet as the final answer.

Given we know that CD is perpendicular to AD.

The distance between CD is 139 feet.

As from points A the boat's crew measure the angle of elevation to the beacon as 6°

therefore, m∠A = 6°

Another time the angle of elevation is measured from point B which is 19°.

therefore, m∠DBC = 19°

tan 19° = CD/BD

BD = CD/tan19°

BD = 136/tan 19°

now for tan 6° = CD/AD (tangent is opposite over adjacent)

AD = CD/tan 6°

AD = 136/tan 6°

AB = AD ₋ BD

AB = 136/tan 6° ₋ 136/tan 19°

AB = 1295.2 ₋ 395.3

AB = 900 feet

hence the distance from point A to B is 900 feet.

Un industrial obtiene un préstamo de $ 15.000, al 23% anual por el lapso de 5 años. Calcular el monto a la finalización de este
olasank [31]

Answer:

$18,781.5

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the problem, calculation of the given data are as follows,

Loan amount (P) = $15,000

Rate of interest (r) = 23%

Time (t) = 5 years

Let this loan is compounding annually, then the amount after 5 years can be calculated as follows,

Final amount = P  (1 + ( r/t))^{t}

by putting the value in formula, we get

= $15,000 (  (1 + ( 0.23/5))^{5}

= $15,000 × 1.2521

= $18,781.5

shopkeeper purchased a bicycle for rupees 5000 and marked its price a certain percent above the cost price then he sold it at 10
Gennadij [26K]

Lets say the final price of the bike is SP plus 13% VAT. So:

1.13 * SP = 6356.25

SP = 5625

Now SP was after 10% discount on Original Price, say MP. So:

0.9 * MP = 5625

MP = 6250

Therefore, the percent of Marked Price above Cost Price is:

(6250 - 5000) * 100/5000 = 25%
