Answer:

A

Explanation:

Eukaryotic cells have the nucleus enclosed within the nuclear membrane.

The cell has mitochondria.

Flagella and cilia are the locomotory organs in a eukaryotic cell.

A cell wall is the outermost layer of the eukaryotic cells.

The cells divide by a process called mitosis.

Which statement about bacteria is TRUE?a. All bacteria are multicellular organisms. b. Bacteria do not use the same genetic code
motikmotik

Answer:

Which statement about bacteria is TRUE?a. All bacteria are multicellular organisms. b. Bacteria do not use the same genetic code as organisms in other domains. c. Bacteria are in a domain of their own. d. Archaea belong to the same domain

The answer to the question is Option C (Bacteria are in a domain of their own)

Explanation:

There are eight distinct taxonomic categories:

  1. Domain
  2. Kingdom
  3. Phylum
  4. Class
  5. Order
  6. Family
  7. Genus
  8. Species

A domain, is a taxon in the highest rank of organisms, higher than a kingdom in the classification of life.

The three domains are the Archaea, the Bacteria, and the Eukarya.

Organisms are placed into domains and kingdoms based upon their:

  • Cell type
  • Their ability to make food
  • The number of cells in their bodies

Members of the domain bacteria are called Prokaryotes.

Bacteria are not multicellular organisms. They are large group of unicellular microorganisms.

Bacteria are single-celled microorganisms that does not have a nucleus or any other membrane and they can exist either as free-living organisms or as parasites.

The most common four Bacteria are: Micrococcus, Staphylococcus, Bacillus, and Pseudomonas. Bacteria and eukaryotes have membranes composed mainly of glycerol-ester lipids.

Archaea have membranes composed of glycerol-ether lipids. Archaea are any group of single-celled microorganisms with no cell nucleus or any other organelles inside their cells. They have distinct molecular characteristics separating them from bacteria.

Archaea are prokaryotes that share certain characteristics with bacteria.

Bacteria aren’t placed in a kingdom by themselves, they have their own domain.

Bacteria are placed in their own domain, because of morphology and especially ancestry, like any other organism.

For plants and other organisms to develop differences among their respective species the alleles of their genes must contain var
olasank [31]

A) <u>Mutation</u> is the original source of variations for plants and other organisms  which develops differences among their respective species

Explanation:

Genetic variation leads to the natural differences between each individual and among individuals of a species. The main cause for this variation is due to alleles that cause variations in the composition of genes or the DNA sequences.

A mutation is a genetic variation which leads to the creation of a new allele in a species population. Each variation in the DNA sequence leads to an allele formation and each allele leads to a difference in character or trait between individuals since they are the alternate version of the original genes.

Although genetic variations could be brought about by crossing over, random fertilization, or independent assortment; mutation is the original source because it provides the basic raw material for all the evolutionary changes.
