The answer is Booker T. Washington

American educator, author, orator, and advisor to several presidents of the United States, Booker Taliaferro Washington (April 5, 1856 – November 14, 1925) was born in the United States. Washington dominated both the African-American community and the modern black elite between 1890 and 1915.

       Who was Booker T. Washington?

  • The last black American statesman to be born into slavery, Washington became the prominent advocate for former slaves and their descendants. Disenfranchisement and the Jim Crow laws, which were passed in the Southern states after Reconstruction in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, led to their newfound oppression in the South.
  • As one of the founding members of the National Negro Business League, Washington was a strong supporter of African-American-owned enterprises. His center of operations was the Tuskegee Institute, a normal school in Tuskegee, Alabama, which eventually became a historically black college, and where he served as principal.
  • In 1895, when lynching's in the South were at their highest, Washington made a speech known as the "Atlanta Compromise" that made him famous across the country. Instead of directly opposing Jim Crow segregation and black voters' disenfranchisement in the South, he advocated for black development through education and entrepreneurship.

While the United States is, theoretically, a class system, it functions in some ways like a caste system. Discuss what is meant
nasty-shy [4]

Answer and Explanation:

The status assigned is that which is given to an individual without making the effort to receive it. In this type of social status, the individual manages to have a social factor that is attributed to him, even before his birth, due to the status and social position of the family to which this individual belongs. In this case, children of rich and socially prestigious families are born with a high social status and this status represents the assigned status.

Acquired status, on the other hand, refers to the social status a person achieves through his or her own efforts to achieve social ascension. This can be seen through poor people who have become politicians or successful entrepreneurs through effort, dedication and studies, for example. This type of status does not limit the individual in a certain social class, since the effort through study and the search for better economic conditions allow this individual to rise more and more in social class.

Do you think that 3/5 Compromise is<br> right? Why or why not?
puteri [66]

Answer:

Absolutely NOT

Explanation:

The 3/5ths compromise was more dehumanizing than it was good, by counting every 3 slaves as ONE vote, which is very wrong. Each slave is their own person and counting them as three only pushed the fact that spaves were seen as property and not people.

A ball is rolled down an inclined plane at different angles. If the angle between the inclined plane and the ground increases wha
alexandr402 [8]

The inclined plane is studied by mechanics and, to calculate it, we use Newton's Second Law.

Is a block of mass “m” supported by an inclined ramp at an angle? with respect to the horizontal plane. Despise the friction.

Forces acting on the body are:  image 1

P: Force weight = P = m.g

Where: g = 9,8 m / s2

m = body mass given in kg.

FN: Normal reaction force to the plane.

When we neglect friction we notice that the body moves downwards. image 2
