It is referred to as secondary bone cancer when a malignancy has progressed from the site of origin to the bones. The phrase "secondarycancer" refers to cancer that has spread (metastasized) from the site of its initial occurrence to another area of the body.
The original (primary) cancer's kind corresponds to secondary cancers. As an illustration, breast cancer (primary cancer) cancer cells may spread to create new lung tumors (secondary cancer). Similar to those in the breast, lung cancer cells are malignant. Also known as a secondary tumor.
