The author accomplished this from the text below:

4. D - The narrator was illustrating the coincidence that he lived in such a small, shabby house in comparison to the rich estates around him.

What was the intent of the writer?

The writer in this text wanted to show how much of a coincidence it was that his shabby house was located in the same vicinity as the magnificent houses in the environment described.

It is quite unusual for people to find shabby houses in the same space as big and sophisticated buildings. For this narrator to live in this environment was sort of a matter of luck or a huge coincidence. He simply got to experience the new environment and beautiful buildings.

The above technique is often used by writers who want to make a point stand out. They often spend a reasonable length of time explaining details of the event or setting.

faltersainse [42]
I can't find much that goes into detail but overall the victims of slavery would use starvation as a way of suicide to avoid further punishment. The men then force fed the victims and if they didn't survive they would be thrown overboard sorry this wasn't much help edit: I just read they could also be tortured until they gave in to eating

harina [27]

Macbeth has heard that his wife died but does not realize this as important and meaningless as life is only dust. Tomorrow is a phrase of beats of time that brings with it doom. The candle is maybe the imagery of a soul in which Macbeth's future is grim.
